How’s your dog when it comes to going to bed?
Previous dogs we’ve had used to go into their bed in the kitchen when you told them and that was that.
Not Betty.
She normally follows us up and lies on the bed until everyone else is ready, then gets a treat for going into her own bed, which is on the landing – when she was young and I tried to get her to sleep in the kitchen as previous dogs had done, she cried until I gave up and she started to sleep on the landing.
Then, once she learned that she got a treat when she went to bed, she started to jump in the bed and look up hopefully at random times. It was quite funny, and I must admit I gave her a few extra treats as a result of it, she’s just so cute when she does it!
