What’s better than having a ball?
- Having someone elses’s ball!
Even when Betty isn’t in a ball carrying period, if any other dog has a ball then it is always of interest. This is especially true of dogs who’s owner gives them a treat when they return the ball. This last session of ball-doggieness was started by a dog called Trusty, who’s owner throws the ball for her then gives her a treat when she brings it back.
Betty watched her do this a couple of times, then she was off, beating Trusty to the ball and bringing it back to claim the treat more often than not.
Fortunately he has a good sense of humour, so was prepared for a bit of this then to wean her off by not giving her the treats – funnily enough the desire to do it lessened after that.
